Psalms 36-41
Psalm 40 is an awesome Psalm of how God deals with us even when we are down and out. He says in verse 2 "He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along." Isn't that just like God. It is not a question of "if" but rather of "when" as it concerns us being in a difficult time in our lives. God will not necessarily rescue you from that time but rather walk with you through it so that you might learn how to trust him more. He is always the faithful Father.
