Day 204

Isaiah 28-30

Isaiah is telling of the impending judgment on Israel and warning Jerusalem (Judah) to shape up or they will be next. He is speaking for God as he tells the people that they should not be so involved in their rote system of religious practices but should have a sincere heart toward God. I wonder how many of us get into the habit of church and make it simply to be a rote religious practice. Maybe today you would be one that would break out of your rote prayer, your rote Sunday worship, or your rote bible reading, and focus intently on the God who loves you so.

Tomorrow's reading: Isaiah 31-35
