Isaiah 36-39
How much confidence do you place in the Lord? Hezekiah placed a tremendous amount of trust in God for the Assyrian army was about to lay siege to Jerusalem. In these days a siege on a city could last days, weeks, months, or even years. Usually the attacking army would cut off the water supply and food supply and basically starve out the people. The only hope of survival usually was surrender. Hezekiah place so much trust in the Lord and allowed God to rescue him. Maybe today you need to place more trust in God and not so much in your limited power.
