Ezekiel 16-19
In another passionate plea Ezekiel uses several object lessons to describe the ways of the people of Israel. They have left God. They have prostituted themselves with other gods and with other nations. They have not remained pure. The illustration God gives is that he literally took the nation when it was newly born and had been abandoned and raised the nation to maturity. Then when it was time for the nation to begin to worship God they turned away from him. Think about all that Jesus did for you. How is your life being lived in relationship to the sacrifice that he gave?
