Joel 1-3
Joel's book is one that begins with incredible judgment and ends with incredible blessing. Are you seeing a theme here? God desires true worship as expressed in 2:13 - don't tear your clothing, but tear your hearts." How many times do we come before God going through the motions on the outside but there is no change on the inside? He then goes on to say in 2:28-32 that he will pour out his spirit upon his people. We see this quoted and occur in the book of Acts. Is God alive in your heart? Is he moving and changing you to be more like him? If not then do a spiritual check up today and examine where you are with God.
