John 1-2
John has an interesting way of describing Jesus. He contrasts light and dark to show the light of God and the darkness of sin. While we generally live in a light saturated environment with TV's, street lights, house lights, etc. the people of John's time would have had a clear distinction between light and dark. Jesus literally burst onto the dark scene with incredible light. It might be like a Q-beam in a dark cave. Jesus changed the concept of God and man and the potential relationship we might have with him. I have but one question, Are you living in the light?
