Day 31

Exodus 35-40
Wow! What an ending to an epic story. The Hebrew people have come out of the land of Egypt as slaves and are now being formed into a nation by God. The story of the Tabernacle being built is one of grandeur and pageantry. God's instructions are followed explicitly by the craftsman, the people, and Moses. God's people are becoming truly His people. The book of Exodus gives us great insight into the redemption of a people by a Holy God and the indwelling of a tabernacle by that same God. It is no wonder that the story of Jesus parallels the story of the Exodus so well. Jesus came and his shed blood purified us and we are now the place in which God can dwell. Once again the story is consistent, the shed blood covers the sin of man. Praise God for the blood of Jesus.

Tomorrow's Reading:Leviticus 1-3.

The journey ahead is not for the faint of hear but the reward is amazing. Don't look at Leviticus as a drudgery but rather God forming the structure of the nation of Israel.
