Leviticus 8-10
We charge on into the book of Leviticus. Today we read about the setting apart of the priests for service. God had chosen Aaron and his sons to be the first priests with Aaron being the first high priest. The design was set up that the high priests would have the most connection with God and would be admitted into the Holy of Holies 1 day per year. This tradition continued on in Jewish life, with a few interruptions because of the exile and disobedience, until the days of Jesus. This Holy of Holies was behind the veil of which was tron from top to bottom on the day that Jesus was crucified. Thus Jesus gave us the access to the Holy God through His death on the cross.
