Leviticus 24-27
Keeping the land for the Sabbath and then releasing people from debts in the year of Jubilee was all a test for the people of Israel to trust God. Could they trust God to provide for them in the Sabbath years? We see that they failed in doing this and eventually faced the judgment of God in the exile where they stayed one year for every Sabbath year they missed. I wonder how much we trust God? Would we have trusted Him in this way? Do we now?
