Deuteronomy 31-34
Today's reading ends the first five books of the Bible called the Torah or the Pentateuch. You have made it! These first five books lay the foundation for the rest of the Old Testament and ultimately for the rest of the New Testament. Moses ends his life here as the greatest prophet in history. What an amazing character of the Bible! He was faithful when it was difficult to be faithful in the face of opposition. Are you willing to stand and be faithful in the face of opposition? Are you willing to lay your life down in sacrifice so others might come to know Christ? Take the words of Moses from this reading today as he passed them on to Joshua, "be strong and courageous."
