II Chronicles 33-36
The sad ending of the nation of Judah is had to swallow even if it is the second time of reading it. Josiah seems to be able to turn the people back toward God but it is too late. The people's hearts are still far away from God. The destruction of Jerusalem must have been massive. The Bible here says that the temple was burned and all the other buildings were destroyed. This was the final blow of judgment from God. I can only imagine what the people thought on the long journey into captivity. I wonder if they wished they could go back and serve God better. I hope in your life you will live in such a way as to never regret your actions and the way you served God.
