Ezra 9-10
Sin is ugly and when repentance is required it leaves pain and hurt. The people of God had sinned greatly against God by intermarrying with the pagan people of the land. This had led them away from worshiping God. The requirement to make this right was repentance and then divorcing of these wives. This seems incredibly harsh and yet that is the price of sin. This is why sin is so devastating. It separates us from God but then it ruins many other relationships and items in our lives. I know it may be difficult to do but if you have sin in your life make it right and see how God will bless your life.
