Ezra 7-8
Have you noticed the difference in the number of animals sacrificed at this Temple as opposed to Solomon's Temple. You can certainly see that the people of Judah are in a completely different place then they were just a few hundred years before. Yet you get the impression that God is no less honored by the sacrifices. You also get the impression that the people are no less forgiven. I wonder sometimes if we feel that more is always better. The scripture still reads true that "man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart." Make sure your heart is right today.
