Amos 6-7
The story of the plumb line here in Amos chapter 7 is one of the greatest illustrations of our lives in comparison to the holiness of God. A plumb line is a straight line up and down and when building a wall, you need the plumb line to get the wall exactly straight up and down. God holds the spiritual plumb line next to our lives. How are you measuring up? What is awesome is that none of us are good enough to be even with the plumb line but it was Jesus who came so that he might straighten us up spiritually. Thank God for Jesus forgiving our sin.
