Day 306

Acts 1-4

The book of Acts is one of my favorite books of the Bible. It is full of adventure, escapes, powerful manifestations of the Holy Spirit, but most of all demonstrates that Jesus is still at work with and through his apostles. These early apostles were bold and spoke with clarity even in the midst of ever increasing persecution. In chapter 4 we see where Peter and John were doing great wonders and the religious leaders told them to be quiet. I love their response. They simply say "how can we stop talking about what we have seen and heard." Have you stopped talking about what Jesus has done in your life? Let the adventure of the Holy Spirit be alive in you. Speak boldly of what God has done in you. Remember that whenever people begin to speak boldly of Jesus Christ and when people are getting saved, the enemy will always find a way to attack.

Tomorrow's reading: Acts 5-7
