Day 323

I Corinthians 1-6

Paul lays out in these 6 chapters a lot of different material. I want to focus in on chapter 3. Paul makes the point that maturity should be the hallmark of the believer. He first had to talk to the Corinthians as babes in Christ or as those in the world. He had to feed them the milk and not yet the meat of the Word. He is driving at the point that after someone has been a believer for some time they should be mature enough to deal with the harder and more difficult material in scripture. This notion is as true today as it was in the first century. Why is that so many Christians who have been followers of Christ for 10, 20, 30, or up to 60 years are still immature in Christ. There should never be a shortage of Biblical wisdom from the seasoned citizens in any church. Those who have been believer for many years should be well versed in the scripture. Are you still drinking the milk of the word or have you moved on to the meat? Let's all be meat eaters!

Tomorrow's reading: I Corinthians 7-10
