I Timothy 1-3
I LOVE the book of I Timothy. It is as practical a book on church leadership and daily Christian living that is included in the New Testament. Paul lays out very clearly that to live lives of righteousness is to avoid certain areas of sinful nature. We cannot have the world in our lives and also have room for Jesus in our lives. We either love one or the other but to love both is a spiritual impossibility. This book also describes the role and qualifications of leaders within the church. I wonder if we took more time to hold people to this standard if we would not alleviate ourselves of many problems in church leadership.
