Tonight is one of the most anticipated Vice Presidential debates in history. I like Dick Cheney but man was his debate with John Edwards in 2004 and Joe Lieberman in 2000 BORING!
One of the best debates was when Dick Stockdale who was Ross Perot's running mate in 1992, kept on repeating the phrase "Grid Lock" in a gutteral voice and opened the debate by saying "Who am I and Why am I here?" Now that was good TV.
Tonight should be interesting. Sarah Palin needs to show she's got what it takes to lead and to know her stuff. There will be no time for "Let me get back to you on that." Joe Biden just needs to keep to the talking points. If he gets off of the reservation, which would make for a very interesting debate, then he is in trouble.
In the end I think there might be some fireworks but it will all be forgotten in just a few weeks. Enjoy!
