Judges 13-16
Samson's story is one of great triumph and of great sadness. He is given to a vow from before he was born to not shave his hair or drink wine. His mother is told not to even eat grapes or raisins while she is pregnant with him. Samson's life is one of being deluded by the temptations that were around him, mainly the Philistine women. While Samson held tightly to much of his vow he forgot to follow the commands of God. This sounds like a lot of Christians who seemingly have their life together in one area of their life but struggle to stand firm in another area. The story of Samson is a great reminder to us to stand firm and give God your whole life not just part of it.
