Day 78

I Samuel 13-15

Have you ever felt like you could do something better then God had planned it? You may not come out and say it that way but we do this when we become impatient with the plans of God. This thought shows itself in us when we forcefully participate in actions that try to push along the plans of God. Saul in this passage could not possibly wait any longer for Samuel and tried to forcefully do what he thought the plans of God were. Be patient today and allow God's plans to unfold with you being a participant and not the one running the show.

One more thought from this reading is that Saul partially obeyed God. He destroyed the Amalekites but saved the King and the best of the livestock. Where in your life today are you just partially obeying God?
