Day 103

II Kings 18-21

Like Israel, Like Judah. Judah begins the downward spiral that Israel took but accomplishes it in one bad king that reigned for 55 years. Hezekiah gives great hope in the beginning of this reading that finally the kings have gotten the idea to follow God and be blessed. However even toward the end of his life he suffers from pride. His son is the worst king of either Israel or Judah. He perpetuates his hatred of God for 55 years in Judah. Because of Manasseh's sin he condemns Judah to destruction. His son Amon is assassinated just like some of the last kings of Israel. Maybe it is time in your life to pay special attention to your actions and ways. God is still watching and He is still evaluating your actions. I wonder what God's commentary would be on your life as it concerns him.

Tomorrow's reading: II Kings 22-25
