Day 138

Job 4-7

Job is indeed struggling to deal with all that has been done to him. His friend Eliphaz blames Job for some sin that he must have committed. This is Eliphaz's way of understanding why this has happened. I find a lot of people that deal with tragedy in their lives this way. They try and figure out what they have done wrong. It is interesting with Job that in his response to Eliphaz he tells him that he has not sinned but then at the end of the chapter he leaves open the possibility that if he has sinned would God forgive him. Job is in agony! And yet he does not blame God, but wonders why this is happening to him.

Tomorrow's reading: Job 8-10
