Zechariah 1-2
Zechariah is a contemporary of Haggai. They are both trying to speak the words of the Lord to the people as they rebuild the Temple. God continually wants to have his people return to him. He wants them to know he loves them. He also wants them to know that he will be their protector. He assures Zechariah that his temple will be rebuilt and that the city of Jerusalem will flourish one day to the point that people will live outside the walls of the city. What has God laid out for your future? You will not find out until you begin to follow Him into that future.
