James 1-5
I love the book of James and yet it is like the gnat that is buzzing in my ears to continue to strive to be more like Christ. James talks about ministering to the poor, bridling the tongue, and being peaceful with everyone. I find this a daunting task. I either minister to the poor and my tongue goes crazy in my speech or I birdle the tongue and ignore the poor. I might even be a little cantankerous with my wife, my children, my coworkers, or the person who cut me off on the highway. I pray that I am more like Jesus tomorrow then today and today more then yesterday. We must continue to strive to be like Christ. Are you still pursuing Him?
