I John 1-5
John writes this book to believers. He makes it very plain and clear over and over again that if someone loves their brother or sister in Christ and lives righteously that more than likely they are believer in Christ. However if one hates a brother or sister in Christ, ignores the needs of the indigent, and lives like the world that they do not know Christ. If we place this litmus test on the vast majority of those who call themselves Christians we would probably discover that many people claim to know Christ but have little knowledge of him. How do you stack up in this test of I John. Always remember I John 1:9 that you can repent today and begin anew in walking with the Lord Jesus Christ! Thank God we have this kind of hope.
